Overcoming Weak Light Conditions

Overcoming Weak Light Conditions

executive summary by Darmansjah From Arbien Rambey

Until some time ago, Olympus cameras are rarely taken into account when talking about shooting in low light conditions. One reason is the size of the Olympus camera sensor whose size is only about half the size of the DSLR camera sensor 135 fullframe. With a small sensor size, grains become so large at the same magnification with the camera 135. How to "fate" Olympus E-5 who has recently launched?

This paper is not merely talking about the Olympus E-5, but also covered a few ways to test the ability of a modern digital camera. In shooting with normal lighting, or with the sun with the brightness of day-to-day, relative to a camera is difficult to distinguish his ability with other cameras.

However, the lighting conditions are "difficult" (against the direction of light, dim, monotone color, low contrast), the quality of the camera is easily distinguished. The condition of "difficult" as I just mentioned are generally not able to overcome the HP camera (cell phone) or compact cameras available today.

This paper also shows that shooting a music performance can be only by using a lens, even without the move. With a 50-200 f2 Zuiko zoom lens 0.8-3, 5, all the photos on this page is generated.

Transition period

Olympus E-5 (type Fourthird) appears when Olympus was incessant orbit-series camera with no mirror Pen aka the so-called Micro Fourthird system. It could be said that E-5 appear in the transition period.

Olympus cooperating partners, namely the Panasonic, even temporarily stop making Fourthird class camera (Lumix L1 and L 10) as being boost Fourthird Micro class, ie series G, GH, and GF.

And, according to a statement Olympus since about three years ago, Olympus was stopped at number 12 megapixel size. After the E-3 that is 10 megapixel, E-5 which appeared nearly 4 years then just added the ability to record a 2 megapixel.

Indeed, in general, 12 MP is already perfectly adequate for everyday purposes. What needs to be improved is the ability to record such difficult conditions mentioned above.

E-5 has managed to overcome the "obstacles" that had appeared on the use of the Olympus camera in dim conditions. "Wisdom" another on E-5 is low because the price can be suppressed using the same body with E-3.

Lens of the Canon PowerShot SX30 IS

Built with the same materials and following the same procedures used for the production of Canon EF lenses, the PowerShot SX30 IS is a clear demonstration of knowledge and experience without rival Canon in the field of optics. In the construction of its objective lens has been used several specials, including an element of ultra-low Dispersion (UD) and Hi-UD element, which offset small aberration of light while maintaining high image quality throughout the focal range. Hi-UD elements commonly used in the range of Canon professional television camera, which ensures maximum image quality, while reducing the total weight of the target.

DIGIC Image4 Image Processor and 14.1 megapixels

Canon's proprietary DIGIC Image Processors have long set its cameras apart from the competition, and the new DIGIC 4 sets the bar even higher. Faster, more accurate noise reduction delivers better image quality, even at high ISO speeds.

iSAPS Technology is an entirely original scene-recognition technology developed for digital cameras by Canon. Using an internal database of thousands of different photos, iSAPS works with the advanced DIGIC 4 Image Processor to improve focus speed and accuracy, in addition to exposure and white balance.
